Softball Recap: Picayune Takes a Loss

Picayune was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Biloxi Indians. The Maroon Tide were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Picayune's record is now 10-15. As for Biloxi, their win bumped their record up to 12-13.

Coming up, Picayune is taking a road trip to face off against Hancock at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Biloxi, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ocean Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Greyhounds have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
