Midland Adventist Academy had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Independence Home School Lions by a score of 55-45. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 35-31 victory the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Midland Adventist Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Renfro, who went 7 of 13 en route to 19 points along with eight boards and six assists. Renfro has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Owolabi, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 rebounds.

Midland Adventist Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Joe Young and Philip Cresswell certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Young posted 21 points, while Cresswell scored 13 points.

Midland Adventist Academy pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Independence Home School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Midland Adventist Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Bonner Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bonner Springs will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Midland Adventist Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Independence Home School, they are taking a road trip to take on The Daniel Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Independence Home School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season.
