It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mater Dei had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Centralia Orphans. The Knights are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.

Adrienne Rakers paced Mater Dei's offense, picking up 12 kills. Rakers got some help from Addison Nenninger and her 25 assists. Nenninger was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Mater Dei's record now sits at 31-6. As for Centralia, their loss dropped their record down to 26-10.

Coming up, Mater Dei will take on Taylorville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centralia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
