Preview: Brattleboro Bears vs. Otter Valley Otters
The Brattleboro Bears will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Otter Valley Otters at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Brattleboro focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Brattleboro came up short against Mount Anthony and fell 65-52. Brattleboro has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Brattleboro got a solid performance out of Johnathon Haskins, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Haskins scored a full 30.8% of Brattleboro's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jackson Emery was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Mount Anthony scored an imposing 60 points on Tuesday, Otter Valley still came out on top. Otter Valley walked away with a 69-60 win over Mount Anthony.
Brattleboro now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Otter Valley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Brattleboro beat Otter Valley 51-41 when the teams last played back in December of 2021. Will Brattleboro repeat their success, or does Otter Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
