North is 8-2 against South since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. It'll be Northside v. Boogie Anetema continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 319 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Kingston Anetema was Boogie's top target, picking up 114 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to North's defense and their three sacks. Anthony Macias was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last nine games he's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, a win for South just wasn't in the cards on Friday as the squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They had to suffer through a 52-14 loss at the hands of Torrance.
North's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for South, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Everything came up roses for North against South when the teams last played back in October of 2023, as the team secured a 34-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for North since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
