Basketball Recap: Calhoun Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Calhoun was the 73-23 winner over Pittsfield when they last played one another back in December of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Calhoun Warriors took a 52-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pittsfield Saukees. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pittsfield got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Reese Ramsey out in front who went 10 for 22 on her way to 23 points and three steals. Ramsey is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Deeghan Allen, who posted 12 points and seven steals.

Calhoun's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2. As for Pittsfield, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calhoun will welcome Gillespie at 6:00 p.m. on December 21st. As for Pittsfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Pittsfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
