Volleyball Recap: Hibriten Comes Up Short

Hibriten started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Elkin. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buckin' Elks on Wednesday. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Buckin' Elks 25-0 in the first set.

Hibriten started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 0-25, 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Hibriten's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Elkin, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-11 record.

Looking ahead, Hibriten will take on Chase at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elkin, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Wilkes Central at 6:00 p.m. The Buckin' Elks are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
