There's no place like home for Tates Creek, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs with a sharp  11-0 victory on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Commodores needed considering they were shut out in their previous   match.
 Ethan Ratley made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI and one  triple. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Cooper Jackson, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Jordan Huguely, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-1.
 Tates Creek  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .520. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Paul Laurence Dunbar only posted  an  OBP of  .188.
Tates Creek has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Paul Laurence Dunbar, their loss was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 8-10.
