Out-of-Door Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 65-36 victory over the Families Instructing Students HomeSchool Hawks. That 29 point margin sets a new team best for the Thunder this season.

Families Instructing Students HomeSchool's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kalvin Kuhnke, who posted nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Cushen, who went 8 of 16 en route to 19 points.

Out-of-Door Academy's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6. As for Families Instructing Students HomeSchool, they moved to 5-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Out-of-Door Academy and Dunedin will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 4:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
