Baseball Recap: Walden Grove Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Walden Grove and Mica Mountain squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Walden Grove had to settle for second. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunderbolts. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Walden Grove saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fabian Martinez, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Walden Grove's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-13. As for Mica Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Walden Grove nor Mica Mountain have any future games scheduled.
