Baseball Recap: Belleview Rattlers vs. Bay Tornadoes
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Belleview ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bay Tornadoes 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rattlers have posted since February 27th.

Belleview got a great performance from Julius Mazzurco as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over 4.1 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Mazzurco a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
At the plate, Dylan Florio was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Belleview's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-8 when he doesn't). Dominic Riddle was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Belleview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bay only managed five hits.
The win got Belleview back to even at 8-8. As for Bay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belleview will take on Edgewater at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Edgewater is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Bay, they will square off against LAMP at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
