Recap: Frontier Titans vs. Central Grizzlies
The Frontier Titans and the Central Grizzlies squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but sadly the Frontier Titans had to settle for second. Frontier fell to Central 36-32. Frontier's loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Frontier still got an impressive performance from Malakhi Statler, who threw for 225 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Kobie Watson, who picked up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
It was another big night for David Marquez, who threw for 335 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt. Daylon Scott was another key contributor, picking up 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Frontier's defeat dropped their record down to 10-1. As for Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Frontier does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Central will head out on the road to face off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Liberty is ranked 35th, while Central is ranked 37th).
