Baseball Recap: Carlson's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After flying high against Lincoln Park last Monday, Carlson came back down to earth. The Marauders fell just short of the Allen Park Jaguars by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The Marauders haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Matthew MacBride made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. MacBride is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Kyle Salisbury also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Carlson fell to 3-1. As for Allen Park, they pushed their record up to 1-0-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Carlson will face off against rival Edsel Ford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Allen Park is set to challenge their familiar foe Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
