Softball Game Preview: Vision vs. Idaho City Wildcats

Vision will challenge the Idaho City Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Vision is looking for their season's first victory.

Vision is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 28-17 to Marsing on Wednesday. Even if Vision couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Johanna Wolfe was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those runs were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lydia Vollmer, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last seven games, Idaho City finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They came up short against Glenns Ferry, falling 13-1. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Idaho City's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Vision, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
