Basketball Game Preview: Olive Branch Conquistadors vs. Overton Wolverines

Having just played yesterday, the Olive Branch Conquistadors will jump right back in to play the Overton Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Olive Branch sitting on six straight wins and Overton on five.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Olive Branch against Senatobia as the squad secured a 49-17 victory. The Conquistadors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Overton took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 59-26 win over Center Hill. The Wolverines are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the fifth game they've won by 20+ points this season.

Overton's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Olive Branch, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

Olive Branch was able to grind out a solid victory over Overton in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 67-60. Do the Conquistadors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
