Soccer Game Preview: San Marino vs. South Pasadena

The San Marino Titans will challenge the South Pasadena Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, San Marino didn't have quite enough to beat Temple City and fell 3-2.

Sofia Rodriguez and Kayla Giddings scored both of San Marino's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, South Pasadena didn't have quite enough to beat La Canada on Tuesday and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Spartans are ranked 57th).

South Pasadena's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7-1. As for San Marino, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
