Preview: Clovis vs. Clovis West
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Clovis. On Friday they will take on Clovis West at 7:00 PM. Clovis will be strutting in after a win while Clovis West will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Last Friday, Clovis put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They made easy work of Clovis North and carried off a 28-0 victory. That looming 28-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Clovis yet.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 7-75, which was the final score in Clovis West's tilt against Central. Clovis West were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-51.
Clovis suffered a grim 17-42 defeat to Clovis West the last time the two teams met. The loss knocked Clovis out of the playoffs, so expect them to come at Clovis West with a vengeful fire.
