Volleyball Recap: Madison East Falls to Beloit Memorial in First Game of Season

Madison East kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 3-1 to the Beloit Memorial Purple Knights. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Madison East started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-22.

Madison East and Beloit Memorial will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Purgolders are set to take on their familiar foe Madison West at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Beloit Memorial will face off against rival Union Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
