Basketball Recap: Lindbergh Eagles vs. Sammamish RedHawks

If the Lindbergh Eagles were riding high off their 46-17 takedown of the Evergreen Wolverines last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lindbergh was beaten by the RedHawks 59-26 on Saturday. Lindbergh has not had much luck with the RedHawks recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Sammamish found their leader in underclassman Sophia Eastman, who scored 32 points along with seven steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Eastman has scored at least a third of Sammamish's points. Tezi Lyons was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.

Lindbergh dropped their record down to 6-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.7 points per game. As for Sammamish, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Lindbergh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sammamish also has no future games currently scheduled.
