Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Horn). They put the hurt on the Lancaster Tigers with a sharp 21-8 win on Tuesday. With that victory, the Jaguars brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Irella Bautista made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
