Softball Recap: Keystone Heights Finds Home Field Redemption Against Providence School

There's no place like home for Keystone Heights, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Providence School Stallions on Friday by a score of 8-6 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Indians' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Audry Cisco spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Amberlea Wagner was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Bella Cumbo also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Keystone Heights hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Providence School struck out nine times.

The win got Keystone Heights back to even at 2-2. As for Providence School, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Keystone Heights will venture away from home to face off against Baker County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Providence School, they will host Sandalwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
