Warriors have this weekend's championship along with Volleypalooza crown and Nike TOC Southeast runner-up finish on resume.

From Volleypalooza to the Nike TOC Southwest, Cornerstone Christian (San Antonio, Texas) has been road and tournament warriors, winning both of those events and finishing runner-up in the Nike TOC Southeast national bracket. The Warriors, with a whopping 53 wins, moved up three spots in this week's MaxPreps Top 25 high school volleyball rankings after an impressive run this weekend in Phoenix that saw them beat SoCal powers Marymount (Los Angeles) and Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) in succession.

The Warriors are led by Iowa State commit Nayeli Gonzalez, who has 475 kills while hitting at 39 percent. Sophomore Megan Fitch, junior Grace Carroll and seniors Rylee Busse and Taylor Anderson round out a quartet of hitters with more than 100 kills. Anderson and Kaia Thiele have combined for more than 1,100 assists.

Ahead of Cornerstone Christian, Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, Calif.) and Marian (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) remain Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. Both had quiet weeks but the top-rated Dons will soon be busy with a pair of league matches before a weekend rendezvous in Nebraska with Ponte Vedra (Fla.), Skyview (Nampa, Idaho) and host Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, Neb.) for the GEICO High School Volleyball Invitational, broadcast on the ESPN family of networks.

The lone newcomer to the MaxPreps Top 25 is Northern California unbeaten Saint Francis (Mountain View, Calif.), which dispatched a trio of Southern California schools over the weekend.
