Baseball Recap: West Clermont Takes a Loss

If West Clermont was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Winton Woods on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves fell 6-1 to the Archbishop Moeller Fighting Crusaders on Thursday. The Wolves were not able to make up for their loss to the Fighting Crusaders from their previous meeting back in June of 2023.

Caleb DeRossett was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

West Clermont's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Archbishop Moeller, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3-1 record this season.

West Clermont will challenge Milford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Archbishop Moeller, they will take on Olentangy Berlin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
