Basketball Recap: North Forsyth Falls Despite Big Games from Kerry Smith and Drahcir Williams

North Forsyth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the West Stokes Wildcats, falling 60-40. The Vikings lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 86-37 score last time.

Drahcir Williams and Kerry Smith certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Williams posted 19 points and three steals, while Smith scored 15 points.

North Forsyth's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for West Stokes, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Forsyth will host McMichael at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McMichael is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season. As for West Stokes, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the West Stokes Wildcats duke it out with the East Surry Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
