Volleyball Recap: Tipton Cardinals vs. California Pintos
On Saturday, the Tipton Cardinals were able to grind out a solid victory over the California Pintos, taking the game 2-0.
Tipton never let California on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20.
Tipton's offense was headlined by
Kaitlyn Tuttle and
Ava Schlotzhauer, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from
Kaylie Kohler and her 11 assists.
Anna Crane controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Tipton's record is now 14-9-3. As for California, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-17-1 record this season.
Tipton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 1-1 tie against Hallsville on the 19th. California has also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Osage on the 19th.
