Basketball Recap: Tracy Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Lars Lindroos and Maximillian Russell

Tracy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 72-62 to the Venture Academy Mustangs. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 61-55.

Tracy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Maximillian Russell, who went 9-for-18 en route to 19 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals, and Lars Lindroos, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 19 points. The game was Russell's fifth in a row with at least 19 points. Cam Breckenridge was another key player, putting up six points and five steals.

Tracy's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Venture Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-7.

Tracy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 66-65 defeat against Lodi on the 12th. As for Venture Academy, they have also already played their next contest, an 83-26 win against Turlock Christian on the 11th.
