Hinkley is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 23rd straight game dating back to last season back in December of 2024. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 25-20 heartbreaker at the hands of Lincoln. One positive for the Thunder, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Hinkley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Uniece Reynolds, who posted nine points and five steals, and Alexsandra Ortiz Hernandez, who had three points along with nine rebounds, five steals, and four blocks. The dominant performance gave Reynolds a new career-high in points.
Even though they lost, Hinkley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Denver North lost to Lakewood at home by a 54-35 margin on Tuesday.
Hinkley will have to keep a close watch on Sophia Guerrero and Adriana Ortiz, a pair of players who had a big impact on Denver North's prior game. Guerrero dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 boards, while Ortiz put up 11 points and four steals. Ortiz has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 17 times she's played.
Hinkley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Denver North, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Hinkley has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Denver North struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.1 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Hinkley was taken down by Denver North 90-10 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Hinkley was down 51-3.
