Soccer Recap: Pana Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Pana was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Taylorville on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Pleasant Plains Cardinals on Saturday, falling 5-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pana of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Pana now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Pleasant Plains, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Pana will head out on the road to square off against Meridian/Sangamon Valley/Central A&M at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pleasant Plains, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Beardstown at 4:30 p.m. on the 9th.
