Freedom is 0-10 against Hickory since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Freedom Patriots will be staying on the road to face off against the Hickory Red Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. After the pair made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.

Meanwhile, the matchup between Hickory and North Lincoln on Thursday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Hickory put the hurt on North Lincoln with a sharp 7-1 win. Given Hickory's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 45th, while North Lincoln is ranked 326th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Freedom's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2.
