Baseball Recap: Bloomfield Bengals vs. Glen Ridge Ridgers
Bloomfield lost a close one when they played last Saturday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Monday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a tough 10-4 loss at the hands of the Glen Ridge Ridgers. Bloomfield was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Glen Ridge apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Evan Freid made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with a home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI.
Bloomfield are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. As for Glen Ridge, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Montclair Kimberley Academy the next time they take the field. Bloomfield will host Montclair Kimberley Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Glen Ridge will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
