Softball Recap: East Central Hornets vs. Baker Hornets
East Central proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Baker 6-4. East Central hasn't had any issues with Baker recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Breyona Tanner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Abbie Huff and Lizzy Kennedy did most of the damage at the plate: Huff went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double, while Kennedy went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Huff has posted since back in March.
