Football Game Preview: Westfield Mustangs vs. Benjamin Davis Falcons + How To Watch

Westfield is a perfect 9-0 against Benjamin Davis since November of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mustangs will face off against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Benjamin Davis will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Westfield extended their winning streak to five on Thursday. The Mustangs took their game with ease, bagging a 42-7 win over MacArthur. The Mustangs pushed the score to 28-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Generals had little chance of recovering from.

Demonte Ford was his usual excellent self, rushing for 174 yards and four TDs on only nine carries. Those 174 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Ford was just one part of a punishing run game: Westfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 256 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 161 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, while Benjamin Davis put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Aldine. The Falcons blew past the Mustangs 49-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their seven-point performance the contest before.

Westfield's record now sits at 5-3. As for Benjamin Davis, their record is now an identical 5-3.

Westfield strolled past Benjamin Davis when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a score of 24-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
