Volleyball Recap: Gibson Southern Comes Up Short

Gibson Southern and Jasper squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Gibson Southern had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Wildcats. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Nora Breitwieser had an outrageously good game for Jasper as she had 23 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Breitwieser has posted over her last six matches. Stella Knies also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Gibson Southern's defeat dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Jasper, they moved to 21-11 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Gibson Southern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jasper, they will square off against Southridge at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
