Softball Preview: Kennedy Eagles vs. Highland Park Scots

Kennedy's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Noelia Fiero made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off nine hits. Fiero has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances. In other batting news, Kennedy got a massive performance out of Katie Edmonds, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 6-for-6. Edmonds is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played. Ava Taylor was another key contributor, getting on base in three of her six plate appearances with a home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Meanwhile, Highland Park had just enough and edged Minneapolis Southwest out 7-6 on Tuesday.
