After a string of eight wins, Battle Mountain's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 54-40 bruising from the West Wendover Wolverines. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-59 back in January.

Battle Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for West Wendover, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 19-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Wendover beat Battle Mountain by a score of 54-40 on Thursday.
