Basketball Recap: Wagener-Salley Comes Up Short

Wagener-Salley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against the Calhoun County Saints, falling 106-41. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-32 back in January.

Calhoun County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aaron Fredrick, who posted 23 points. Eddie Coleman was another key player, putting up 21 points.

Wagener-Salley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Calhoun County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Wagener-Salley has already played their next contest, a 104-65 loss against North on the 11th. As for Calhoun County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 78-25 win against Williston-Elko on the 11th.
