Ava Burkle leads a balanced attack to beat Tri-Central

The Rossville Hornets came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 46-33 win over Tri-Central. For Rossville, this counts as revenge for the 36-19 loss Tri-Central walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

Rossville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Burkle, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Burkle hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Cortney Huffman was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Rossville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Tri-Central, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-10.
