            Baseball Recap: Golden Demons vs. Montbello Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Golden had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 20-run drubbing they dealt Montbello on Saturday. The Golden Demons blew past the Montbello Warriors 21-1.
 Taden Svendsen and  Austin Maleki dominated on the mound. Svendsen  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits, while  Maleki  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Furthermore,  Svendsen didn't allow a single  earned run, the first time  he has blanked an opponent since back in May of 2024.
 At the plate, Golden got a  massive  performance out of  Liam Leffert, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, four  runs,  and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Dylan Paulson, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI.
 Golden  lost a few balls and  finished the game with three  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Golden's win was  their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Montbello, they will take on Adams City at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Montbello has given up an average of 15 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
