The Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Marquand-Zion Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marquand-Zion took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Eagle Ridge Christian, who comes in off a win.
Even though Eagle Ridge Christian has not done well against Thomas Jefferson School recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Eagle Ridge Christian took their match at home with ease, bagging a 61-28 win over Thomas Jefferson School. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Eagle Ridge Christian has posted since December 5, 2023.
Eagle Ridge Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Simpson, who scored 16 points. Simpson hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Chase WIlliams was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Marquand-Zion suffered their biggest loss since November 17, 2023 last Thursday. They were beaten by Valley 77-50. Marquand-Zion has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Eagle Ridge Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Marquand-Zion, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Eagle Ridge Christian couldn't quite finish off Marquand-Zion in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 and fell 67-65. Can Eagle Ridge Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
