Basketball Game Preview: Westbury Huskies vs. Sharpstown Apollos

The Westbury Huskies will venture away from home to face off against the Sharpstown Apollos at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Sharpstown took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Westbury, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, Westbury took their game with ease, bagging a 60-23 win over Waltrip. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Sharpstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Galena Park 46-3. The Apollos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Sharpstown's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Westbury, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.

Everything came up roses for Westbury against Sharpstown in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 74-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westbury since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
