Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Hope Jones and Lily Klein Lead Wooster to Victory

Wooster had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the New Philadelphia Quakers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Generals also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Wooster was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-14, 22-25, 25-22.

Leading Wooster to victory were Lily Klein and Hope Jones. Klein had 14 digs, while Jones had 15 digs and three aces. Those 14 digs gave Klein a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Wooster was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in seven consecutive games dating back to last season.

Wooster's record is now 3-0. As for New Philadelphia, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.
