Basketball Recap: Palmer Takes a Loss

Palmer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 59-25 loss at the hands of the Burwell Longhorns. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Longhorns from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Burwell found their leader in freshman Laurel Mann, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Kaitlyn Simpson was another key player, putting up eight points and 12 rebounds.

Palmer's record is now 6-8. As for Burwell, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Palmer will take on Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Burwell, they will challenge Arcadia/Loup City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
