Soccer Game Preview: Orange Beach vs. St. Luke's Episcopal

Orange Beach is 0-4 against St. Luke's Episcopal since March of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Orange Beach Makos will face off against the St. Luke's Episcopal Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Orange Beach's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Thursday, neither Orange Beach nor Elberta could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, St. Luke's Episcopal hasn't lost a match since February 18th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They never let Randolph School get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four games by three goals or more so far this season.

St. Luke's Episcopal has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those five matches. With that draw, Orange Beach's record moves to 8-1-2.

Orange Beach suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to St. Luke's Episcopal in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Can Orange Beach avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
