Softball Recap: Bath County Comes Up Short

Bath County had taken Rowan County down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered against the Vikings since April 22, 2019.

Bath County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Rowan County, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bath County will take on Frederick Douglass at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rowan County, they will host Ironton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
