Softball Recap: Oakland Comes Up Short

Oakland lost to Coffee County Central back in March of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Patriots took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Raiders. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oakland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amare Moore, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Hallie Arriola also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Oakland now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Coffee County Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Oakland didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-4 loss against Warren County on the 21st. As for Coffee County Central, they will be playing at home against Warren Township at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
