Basketball Game Preview: Crescent City Raiders vs. The Villages Charter Buffalo

Crescent City is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 69-59 win over Umatilla. The Raiders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, The Villages Charter waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took down the Red Devils 76-61. Given the Buffalo's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Red Devils are ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Crescent City better keep an eye on Adyn Corbin. He was instrumental in The Villages Charter's win, going 6 for 13 en route to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Herly Brutus, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

The Villages Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive games.

The Villages Charter's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Crescent City, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.
