Basketball Recap: Morgan Cremen Key Part of a Team Effort in Barracudas Win

Beachside won the last time they faced Andrew Jackson and things went their way on Saturday too. The Beachside Barracudas came out on top against the Andrew Jackson Tigers by a score of 51-44.

Beachside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Morgan Cremen, who went 7 for 13 en route to 18 points in addition to five assists and four steals. The match was Cremen's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Ellie Ament was another key player, putting up eight points and nine boards.

Cremen wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Beachside was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

The victory got Beachside back to even at 9-9. As for Andrew Jackson, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.

Beachside is taking a road trip to face off against Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andrew Jackson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gainesville at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st.
