Granite Hills and Strathmore are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Granite Hills Grizzlies are taking a road trip to face off against the Strathmore Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Granite Hills will be strutting in after a victory while Strathmore will be coming in after a defeat.

Granite Hills had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 25-point drubbing they dealt Lindsay on Friday. Granite Hills put the hurt on Lindsay with a sharp 58-33 win. The Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Strathmore was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 49-43 to Corcoran. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 795th, while the Panthers are ranked 368th).

Granite Hills has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Strathmore, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.

Granite Hills strolled past Strathmore when the teams last played back in January by a score of 47-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Granite Hills since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
