Softball Recap: Holy Cross Takes a Loss

If Holy Cross was feeling good fresh off their 14-0 takedown of Ansonia on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders came up short against the Seymour Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 10-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-8 on April 10th.

Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Seymour, their win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

While Holy Cross had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
