Mt. Zion is 8-2 against Mattoon since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Braves will head out to face off against the Greenwave at 6:30 p.m.

Mt. Zion is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Jacksonville just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Wednesday. They and the Crimsons finished up their match with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Mt. Zion's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Mattoon sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Charleston on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for Mattoon in their matchups with Charleston: they've now won nine in a row.

Mattoon's win bumped their record up to 14-8-2. Mt. Zion's draw gives them a new season record of 14-5-1.

Mt. Zion beat Mattoon 2-0 when the teams last played on Saturday. Do the Braves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Greenwave turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
